'The Creature in Ogopogo Lake' is a book about mystery. Four children, Henry, Jessie, Violet and Benny Alden, are the main characters of the story. They were actually going for a holiday at the Ogopogo Resort in Peachland with their grandfather, but happened to be in the middle of a mystery instead. This book describe of how they solve the mystery and help prevent the Resort owner from selling the resort as the owner is planning to sell the resort in need of money. The owner had to sell the resort as she needed money badly, but she doesn't want to. The Aldens children managed to solve the riddle to a treasure which was left for the owner, so in the end, the owner does not need to sell the resort.

I enjoy reading this book. This book can be categorized under Mystery and fantasy. The story is not a real one as there is no such thing as Ogopogo monster in the lake. If I'm given a chance, I would read other books written by the same author.

The story begins with - Dragons. The dragons live in a place call dragon valley. They were living in peace, until one day when their friend, a rat name Rosa, rushed to them and inform them that humans are coming to invade them. The oldest dragon in the valley, Slatebeard, called a meeting. All the dragons gathered together and Rosa spilled the news to them. However, not all dragons believe her. Some of the dragons sneered; some insisted on staying in the valley and try to scare the humans off. Firedrake, one of the younger dragons, was the only one who believe it. Slatebeard told the dragons to go to a place call the Rim of Heaven, and Firedrake was the only one who decide to go. As Slatebeard was too old to fly anymore, he stayed at the valley with the rest of the dragons. Slatebeard decide to give Firedrake some information on the Rim of heaven. However, Firedrake only got some information as Slatebeard could not remember much, but one thing Slatebeard said quite clearly, was that he warn Firedrake to beware of the Golden One. Rosa added on that they could find her cousin who lives in the city and her cousin would give them a map which would help them get to the Rim of Heaven. Firedrake set off under the moonlight, taking Sorrel, a forest brownie, with him. Along the way, they met a boy, Ben, who helped them a lot and Firedrake decide to take Ben with them as Ben had no family. Later on, after they had got the map from Rosa's cousin, they continued on the journey. Along the way, Sorrel got caught by some archaeologists. They met a kind archaeologist, Professor Greenbloom. He saved Firedrake's life in a cave when Firedrake encounter a basilisk. They continued on their way after Professor Greenbloom had tell them that his friend Zubeida had make a new potion which can help dragons fly without relying on moonlight. On their way, they met a homunculus named Twigleg. Unfortunately, they did not know that Twigleg is Nettlebrand, the Golden One, armor cleaner, and Twigleg is acting as a go-between between them and Nettlebrand. Twigleg is also the one who is feeding Nettlebrand information on where the Rim of Heaven is, as Nettlebrand is born to eat dragons, and he is greedy on eating all the dragons that is in the Rim of Heaven. On the way, they asked a djinn where the Rim of Heaven lies, and continued on their journey after that. Twigleg decided to help Firedrake instead of Nettlebrand. In the end, they found the Rim of Heaven. Together with a dragon there, Maya, Firedrake and Maya defected Nettlebrand. Ben and Twigleg went to live with the Greenblooms. Sorrel stayed at Rim of Heaven with Firedrake. The story ended off with a happy ending.

This story is classified under fantasy, as the story isn't real. I quite like the story, as it's very lively and almost real. The story is full of adventure and humorous-ness. I like this kind of stories as i prefer lively stories instead of gloomy stories. I had read this book again and again without feeling bored. I would recommend this book.

On Friday , July 13th , it is Zhonghua E-Learning Day . I woke up at about 6.45am to do the assignments that is assigned to everyone through the Zhonghua E-Learning Website . There are all sorts of assignments from various subjects , for example , English which we have to post our E-Learning Day reflections ; Chinese where we are given three passages and we had to choose one to correct the wrong things written in it ; Maths which we have to go to acelearn.com to do a quiz ; Science where we have to print out a worksheet and do ; Geography where we had to print a worksheet too and a variety of surveys for us to do . Up till now , I am currently doing my english assignment ; completed my chinese assignments ; completed the Maths quiz ; complete the surveys ; and had printed the Science worksheet , which means I am left with doing the science worksheet and printing the geography worksheet . The Chinese assignments can let us know more about writing the prefered passage without a lot of writing mistakes and errors . Doing the Maths quiz can let us know more about Ratio , Rate and Speed and let us have more experience of solving these type of questions . The Science assignment , which is about drugs , can let us know more about drugs , the harmful effects of drugs and what are we suppose to do when we are under the situation where we are offered drugs by other people . The surveys can let teachers know more about how we feel about their teachings and how they can improve on it . In conclusion , I feel that I can benefit a lot from E-Learning Day . We can learn a lot from Self-Learning and learn more about learning indepentdently . Hopefully , there are more of this kind of E-Learning Day . I really enjoyed myself in my first E-Learning Day .

The June Holidays is coming to an end soon . This is already the last week of holidays . To me , the June Holidays this year is quite meaningful but a little boring . I have spent the holidays either on doing homework , going back to school for CCAs or occasionally watching television programmes .
I did not play games at all , as my father forbade me to . As I did not go overseas too , this holidays is really quite a boring one . With tuitions nearly everyday and no computer games , I have a schedule that is full of studying and no fun at all . Today , it is Dumpling Festival . My mother wrapped a lot of dumplings and she started earlier than today . She started on Friday . I have gotton rather tired of dumplings after eating so much . Now , as usual , I am doing my homework , which I have yet to complete although it is already the last week of holidays . I have been hoping to finish my homework earlier so that I can do my own things like listening to music or surfing on the net . =X

Alvin and his team of young investigators - Sinchita , Azizul , Wei Ling , Mars and Rafe - were at a pop concert by a band called Romeo's Dog . Romeo Dog consist of 3 members , namely Romeo , Rocky and Frankie . Romeo and Rocky are brothers , and Frankie is their cousin . Rocky is the lead singer and guitarist , Rocky is the one who played the keyboard while Frankie is the drummer . The young investigators are off to their concert when the lead singer , Romeo , suddenly disappears . Maxie and Rocky received a ransom . Frankie was framed of kidnapping Romeo by having a pair of scissors and some headlines cut from the newspapers , which is used in the ransom the Maxie and Rocky received . Alvin scented that something is wrong and he and his investigators were on the case soon . However , they were creating more trouble than help at first . They dressed up as waiters and waitresses in order to get into the rooms that Rocky , Frankie and Maxie are in when the Inspector found out and gave them a scolding . Azizul even got himself kidnapped . A ransom had to be paid to the kidnappers or Azizul will die . Azizul was in a great danger as he was trapped in a place named Canal District . He was in great danger until he was rescued by his fellows investigators . They found Romeo in the end . Thanks to Alvin's quick thinking , he solved the mystery where Romeo kidnapped himself with the help of Rocky , and they framed Frankie in order to get the ransom and having Frankie being the most possible person who kidnapped Romeo .
I think this book is rather interesting as I enjoy reading mystery and adventure stories . What catches the readers most is the speeches and liveliness in the storyline . The story is very lively and there are a lot of speeches in the story . I really enjoy myself when reading the book and sometimes imagine myself in the story . This book is not scary at all as it is not a horror book , it is a mystery book . I would certainly buy more books or borrow more books written by the author if it is possible . I would reccommend this book .

My targets for English is to get at least a b4 , which is 60-64 marks . My english is not very strong , so I will have to strive hard in order to meet the target . I have hope that i will pass English with flying colours as English is quite an important subject , so I will try and work hard to get good results for English . Getting a b4 might not be easy , but working hard for it to get good results can be done ..
